I am so excited about the next baby session. I love these fresh new girls. I don't know a better way to describe it, so take a look...
This little guy was completely content. He never tried to get away or even cried! Here is a peek at this little baby session:
I am trying hard to not get star-struck, and just post my image like I normally would. But, wow. ok, ok. This may not be the most obvious pick for the smile theme. But it is a perfect pick for my book. I love that you can tell he is smiling without even seeing his smile. The raised cheekbones and the rest of the face tell more than just lips. And I love that it wasn't posed, but he was actually in LOVE, LOVE, LOVE with this little baby girl. It is not even all in focus, but it was sweet that she reached up to touch his face while we were shooting. Such a connection. Sometimes I feel like I should not be involved in such intimate moments, but I hope the family will appreciate getting to relive that precious second. Here goes.. I have more to share later, but go to I Heart Faces to check out the other entries. There will be plenty of smiling moments to enjoy :)
I have had a hard time deciding which face to enter for the Best Face Photo of 2010 challenge over at the I Heart Faces site. Which is both a good and a bad thing. The good thing is that I had several images that I wanted to use! LOL That means that there has been a huge improvement this year...YAY! In the end, I decided on this little girl from a December Christmas card shoot. She was absolutely sweet and such a mess! She alternated between posing, pouting and taking over my equipment. What a cute little helper. She made this particular expression in a lot of the photos. It was her "I'm so excited, I may bust!" face. I love the freckles, and the expression, and the fact that I wasn't going for a close-up. She just moved in on her own. I also loved getting cards this year that had images I had taken...how cool! This was one of the pictures on the front of their card in black and white (which I also loved!) It was one of the first sessions that I was asked to do, instead of recruiting the models. I guess it kind of represents a shift if my journey, so it means something special to me. So, there is my face of the year. Head over to the site to see some beautiful work, and gorgeous faces of all shapes and sizes.
